Are You Evaluating Your Spouse

Jesus is perfect. We are not. Having the mind of Christ works miracles in marriages. After all, spouses hurt each other. How can we forgive our spouse when they have hurt us? Certainly there must be an exception somewhere so we don’t have to forgive them, right?. Do you evaluate your spouse and then present your findings to the Lord and beg him to let you out of your marriage?

Having the mind of Christ is NOT about focusing on what is wrong and then trying to get out of things. Having the mind of Christ is about focusing on GOD, seeking, serving, and obeying HIM. If you have the mind of Christ, you can love your spouse regardless of what they do. Instead on focusing on their faults, your focus is on how you can get closer to the Lord. By doing this, your marriage is going to improve by default.

IF you are willing to lay down your pride and seek the Lord with all your heart, He will show you what His WAY is. He wants you to WALK IN LOVE AND FORGIVENESS! This is the way to a deeper relationship with Christ! If you can truly comprehend this, you will have a deeper relationship with Christ. If you do not forgive, God will NOT forgive you (Matthew 6:15, Matthew 18:35, Mark 11:26).

The entire duty of man is to love. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” (1 John 4:8). We are to love God and we are to love our spouse. Jesus said that if we love, everything else is automatically covered (Matt 22, Mark 12, Luke 10). When we don’t do that, we are not under His covering. We are in rebellion. People don’t realize that the spirit world is REAL. When we are in rebellion, Satan gets to wreak havoc on us. But if we have the mind of Christ, Satan has no power over us.
