You Are Not A Grasshopper In God’s Eyes

How often has God led you in a direction, showed you a goal or target, and then you looked at the “walls” or the “giants” that were between you and the target? Can you hear the whining now? “It’s too hard.” “That job is too big for me.” “That will never work, I’ve never been able to do it before now.”

How often has He put someone in your path that you know needs to know Him better, and instead of sharing His love with them, you made excuses? You created an idea of those things that would hinder them from listening even before you tried talking to them.

But God had plans for how to overcome those that the Israelites considered “giants” in the land. And God had plans for how to overcome the walled cities. Do you think He also has a way to overcome the barriers between Him and the people He puts in your path? Have you asked Him about His plan? If He gives you a goal or target, or puts someone in your path, then focus on the fruit as a promise of what He wants to do. Don’t be so quick to give up and give in to those that look like giants. You are not a grasshopper in God’s eyes; He sees the fruit in you and in your life, as well as the promise of more fruit still to come.

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. Numbers 13:30 ~ They focused on their own perspective instead of God’s perspective. They were as grasshoppers in their own eyes, so they assumed that they would be seen as being small in comparison to the inhabitants. They quit before even gave God the opportunity to show Himself strong on their behalf. God was much bigger than those they considered “giants” to overcome. God had allowed them to see the fruit and richness of the land as a vision of the promise. Instead they focused on the difficulties

Instead of focusing on the “giants” and walls, FOCUS ON THE FRUIT!
