CyberSpace & God Spirit

We have gradually become more and more accustomed to using computers and the Internet. The Internet and cyberspace open up a world of communication with the rest of the world. It is like the “city that never sleeps” because you can get online at any time of the day or night and someone or some website will be there waiting for you. There is power in that connection. It is just waiting for your input so it can respond. Once you are “connected” you can “go” anywhere in the world that also has Internet access.

God is Spirit, He never sleeps nor slumbers according to the Bible. He is always available. He is the LIGHT that is always on and shining, and is always home.

We are created in His image, which means that we are also spirit. Our spirit never sleeps either.

Have you ever minimized a window on your computer and forgotten that it was “connected” online? Your computer looked like it was disconnected because you didn’t have a window in front of you to remind you, but actually it was still connected to that cyberspace. That is like when we sleep. We look like we are “disconnected” because our physical bodies are at rest and immobile. BUT ~ our spirit is still connected.

With the connection between our computer and cyberspace we can reach wholesome or vulgar websites.

Our spirit can also reach the wholesome or the vulgar depending on what we have filled it with when we are awake. If we have made multiple connections with Father God and His Holy Spirit during our waking times, then our spirit will remember those “websites” as we sleep and revisit them. Scripture says, “He will instruct us in our night seasons.” But we need to have a connection open to receive that instruction.

If we are focusing on more worldly things and ignoring God when we are awake, then our spirit will focus on more worldly things as we sleep, replaying and expounding on what we have fed it.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

The counsel and teaching of the Lord is our very bread necessary for survival!

Bless the Lord! Ask Him to give you counsel and instruction in your night season! He is waiting for you!
