God Doesn’t Lay People Off

“For I know the plans I have for you,” Declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

” ~ Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit,” saith the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105)

God doesn’t lay people off. When my workplace “laid off” a total of 26 people. I remember 1 lady saying that their Christmas this year wasn’t going to be any better than the ones they have had the last 4 years. The way it sounded to me was that it isn’t very good. So being laid off isn’t a good thing when considering family finances and even relationships or holidays. If anything, God grows people up by having a plan and purpose for every person on this planet.
The Scripture says His plans for us are for good and not for evil.

The Spirit of the Living God makes everything that happens according to God’s will possible. Anything and everything that God wants to accomplish in our lives and through our lives is activated by faith and trust in God, in His Word and with the help of the Holy Spirit. We need all 3 in our lives to be like Him, to be one with Him and to fulfill everything He has called us to do.

Even if we experience unemployment in the world, God has a job for us to do. Even when the world doesn’t recognize our worth or value, God still has a plan and purpose for us to accomplish. It doesn’t matter what our seniority level is to God. He never “down-sizes” His family. Our value & worth to Him is continuous and stable – we are worth the price of His Son, Jesus because that is what He gave to buy us back from the enemy. To Jesus our worth and value is stable – equal to all of His blood and suffering that He gave for our Freedom. We have a lifetime guarantee of a job, followed by benefits that last through this life and into eternity!

So for those of you who have experienced workplace demotions, lay-offs or even being fired from a job, look to God and seek His “job description” for you. He sees the end of our lives from the beginning and knows where we belong and what we should be doing; those things that will bless and prosper us instead of harming us. And He wants to show us how to get from where we are to where He wants us, no matter how things look on the surface or to the “natural” eye.
